Christians are urged to honor their past if they seek to cultivate peaceful coexistence with themselves and their neighbors.

Speaking during Sunday service at Kancucu Church of Uganda in Nyakariro Parish, Bugangari Archdeaconry, Rukungiri District, Reverend Lamech Muramuzi of All Saints Nyakariro Parish highlighted how many individuals struggle with unresolved conflicts from their past, leading them astray.

He emphasized that some affluent Christians tend to forget their humble beginnings, attributing poverty to a curse. Reverend Muramuzi urged wealthy Christians to extend a helping hand to the less fortunate in society.

The service, held as a Thanksgiving ceremony for the family of the late Charles Kabahweza of Murambo Kashayo, saw Mrs. Alice Kabahweza, the widow, acknowledged for her service with the North Kigezi Diocese.

The church managed to raise Uganda shillings 1.4 million for power extension and over 4 million Uganda shillings for other developmental projects.

Notably, 1 million of the funds was donated by Dan Karyeija, the personal assistant to the Minister for Security.
