Residents of Ruzinga Cell, Ngomba Ward, Nyakyera Town Council, Ntungamo District, are grappling with the body of a man who had worked as a casual laborer in the area, though his identity and residence remain unclear.

According to locals, the man, whose exact age is unknown, had lived in Ruzinga for several years, doing odd jobs and living independently. Juliet Tusiingwire, a resident, informed our reporter that the deceased, known as Muhammad Karubango, had claimed to be from Rwemirondo in Isingiro District. However, when locals attempted to contact people from that location, they said they did not know him.

It was reported that the deceased was last seen yesterday in the trading center consuming alcohol. Early this morning, a group of women who had gone to clean Ruzinga Catholic Church discovered his body in the church’s kitchen.

Juliet criticized the police for their lack of response, stating that despite calling them in the morning, the body remained at the scene, decomposing, until the issue was reported to Boona FM at 3:00 PM. She emphasized the urgent need for police to visit the scene and address the situation, as the body had begun to decompose.
