The Mitooma District RDC, Francis Kibuka Amooti, has urged civil servants in the district to work diligently and leave a lasting legacy in the places they serve, ensuring they are remembered for their contributions. Kibuka made this appeal on Friday during a farewell ceremony for the District Internal Security Officer (DISO), Twinomugisha Patrick, and his operative officer, Milly Kajube. The duo has been transferred to the Kampala Training Center for new assignments. The event was held at Peak Hotel in Mitooma District.

Kibuka emphasized that civil servants should strive to create a positive impact in their areas of work, which will earn them respect and affection even after they are transferred.

During the same event, the Greater Bushenyi Region Internal Security Officer, Lieutenant Amos Yiga, announced that Patrick had been transferred to Kampala for new duties and would be replaced by Tibingana Ronald. He expressed his expectation that Tibingana would collaborate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure smooth development in the district.

Mitooma District Chairperson, Benon Karyeija, commended the outgoing DISO, Patrick, for his relentless efforts in combating corruption, stating that his dedication is the reason he is leaving the district with such high regard.

In his farewell remarks, Patrick Twinomugisha encouraged the people to embrace positive change, noting that some changes bring new opportunities. He also urged them to continue working together in unity and harmony for the betterment of the district.
