Police in Mbarara are investigating a fire outbreak that gutted Mbarara View high school located in Katete Mbarara City South Division.
A statement released by the Rwizi region Police spokesman Samson Kasasira says the fire broke out at 3:00 AM this morning
The fire reportedly gutted the headmaster’s office which also doubles as the staff room and library of the school totally destroying the property and the roof of the structure but no injuries were registered.
Kasasira says the Police Fire and Rescue team of Mbarara City responded to the scene, extinguishing the fire but the cause of the fire has not been established yet.
Inquiries into the incident are still ongoing.
