Mbarara University of science and technology is set to hold an annual Agricultural innovation exhibition day scheduled for 23rd September with the intention of transforming society in the Agricultural sector.

This was revealed by the vice chancellor Professor Celestino Obua during the press briefing yesterday held at the MUST city campus ahead of the exhibition.

According to Prof Obua, they are engaging youth by educating and encouraging them through imparting the skills needed in the agricultural sector.

Dr Medard Twinamastiko Katonera, the director, center for innovations and technology transfer (MUST) noted that they have been engaging with farmers in the field to ensure that the student gets hands-on skills.

The annual agricultural innovation exhibition day is expected to be presided over  by the Hon minister of science technology and innovations Dr. Monica Musenero and Frank Tumwebaze, the minister of Agriculture animal industry, and fisheries as key note speaker.
