Police in Sheema District have started investigations into a hit-and-run fatal accident that killed a 10-year-old juvenile.
The accident occurred on 31st December 2024 at Rugasha Cell, Migina, Sheema Municipality, along the Migina-Kooga feeder road in Sheema District.
The accident involved an unidentified white tipper that knocked down and killed a pedestrian.
Marcial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson, confirmed the accident and identified the deceased as Elvis Akampwera, aged 10, of Mashwojwa Village, Migina, Sheema Municipality.
It is alleged that the white tipper was speeding from Migina Trading Center, heading towards Kooga, when it knocked down the pedestrian.
