Frank Arinaitwe Rukanurwa, a candidate for Member of Parliament for Rujumbura County, has declared his intention to petition the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Electoral Commission (EC) over alleged voter intimidation by SP Matsiko Dan.

Rukanurwa claims that SP Matsiko Dan, a police officer currently on leave and a native of Rwerere Town Council, is using a police vehicle and uniform to harass his supporters. He suspects that SP Matsiko is acting on behalf of his political rival, Hon. Minister Jim Muhwezi Katugugu.

Expressing his frustration, Rukanurwa noted that despite being duly nominated and empowered by the Electoral Commission to mobilize support, his efforts are being undermined by SP Matsiko’s actions, which he believes are unprofessional and in violation of electoral guidelines.
