Police in Buhweju District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder of a 17-year-old boy under unknown circumstances.
The incident occurred on 18/10/2024, around 11:00 PM, and was reported on 19/10/2024. Marcial Tumusiime, the spokesperson for Greater Bushenyi Police, confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Conrad Mutamba, a 17-year-old resident of Kigango Cell, Nyakishaka Ward, Nyakishaka Town Council in Buhweju District.
It is alleged that on [date], around 11:00 PM, the deceased returned to his parents’ home from an unknown location, severely weakened and nearly unconscious, unable to speak.
His father rushed him to Burere Health Centre III for treatment, but upon arrival, he was pronounced dead.
Kenneth Atwebembeire, a 40-year-old resident at the same address, who reported the matter to the police, stated that the body had sustained multiple injuries to the head and back.
