Police in Bushenyi District are currently searching for unidentified individuals responsible for the killing of a 23-year-old man under mysterious circumstances.

The incident was reported on February 28, 2024, at 11:00 AM by Weena Geoffrey, the chairperson of LC1 in Ngorora cell, Ngorora ward, Bitooma Town Council, Bushenyi District.

Marcial Tumusiime, the spokesperson for Greater Bushenyi Police, identified the victim as Robert Niwabine, aged 23, a casual laborer residing in Nombe village, Katunga Parish, Kakanju sub-county, Bushenyi District.

It’s reported that Bitooma police were informed by the LC1 chairperson of Ngorora cell that the body of an unidentified man was discovered in a coffee plantation owned by Stephen Mbeeta.

According to available information, the deceased was last seen in Kabingo village, Bitooma Town Council, on February 24, 2024, until his body was discovered yesterday.

Tumusiime stated that the body showed no apparent external injuries and has been transported to Kampala Teaching Hospital for postmortem examination as investigations continue.
