The police in Kabale are currently searching for suspects involved in the alleged murder of an unidentified female adult, whose body was found in Buhoro village, Buhara sub-county, Kabale district.
On May 27, 2024, at an unknown time, unidentified suspects, with intent to kill, caused the death of the yet-to-be-identified woman in Buhoro village, Buhara sub-county, Kabale district. Ainembabazi Geradin reported the incident to Rwene police post, who then informed the district CID officer in Kabale.
The district CID officer and team visited and documented the crime scene, where they discovered the body with bruises on the legs, eyes, and arms, located just a few meters from the Uganda-Rwanda border. The body was retrieved and taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination.
Efforts to identify and arrest the suspects are ongoing. Anyone missing a loved one should visit the hospital mortuary to identify the deceased for a proper burial. Those with any information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators are encouraged to come forward to ensure the suspects are brought to justice.
Investigations are still underway.
