Police in Sheema district are hunting for unknown suspects who set fire to the house of an 82-year-old woman.
The incident happened in Kagango cell, Rwenshama ward, Kagango division, Sheema municipality, Sheema district.
Marcial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson confirmed the incident saying it happened when unknown persons set fire to the living house of Christine Mushanga through the ventilator and some of her properties got burnt.
He said properties worth millions were destroyed and some included two wooden beds, three mattresses, and an unspecified number of plastic chairs among others.
According to Mushanga Christine 82 a housewife, the assailants cut the wire mesh of the ventilator of one of the rooms before gaining access to the house.
Tumusiime said the fire was put off before it could spread to the whole house.
