The administration of the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) in Rukungiri has expressed gratitude for the massive turnout of individuals picking nomination forms to contest in the upcoming 2026 general elections.
According to Caleb Musimenta, the Office Administrator for Rukungiri District, the exercise— which commenced on July 28th and concludes on July 31st— has been characterized by renewed love, unity, and support. He noted that this transformation marks a significant improvement compared to the FDC era in Rukungiri District.
Geoffrey Rugyendo, the PFF Electoral Commission official for Rukungiri, outlined the requirements for nomination, which include a National Identity Card, Party Card, and guarantors. He urged aspiring candidates to be enthusiastic, focused, and determined to win— for the strength and future of the party.
Mirika Kyomuhendo from Kagugu, Rwerere Town Council, expressed strong support in her area for the party’s agenda, noting it is an improvement over the previous political affiliations.
Kamugisha Nyansio from Nyakaina, Buyanja Subcounty, emphasized the overwhelming support, as reflected by the high number of people picking nomination forms.
