Parents have been urged to take responsibility for their children’s education to ensure quality results.

This message was shared today, Tuesday, 15th April 2025, by Topher Nuwamanya, the Rukungiri District Inspector of Schools for Ruhinda Sub County, during a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting at Rwabihurwa Primary School in Nyeibingo Parish, Kebisoni Sub County, Rukungiri District.

Topher praised the cooperation at Rwabihurwa Primary School but expressed concern over some parents avoiding their responsibilities, which affects the quality of education.

Rev. James Twebaze, priest of Mutaturwa Church of Uganda, linked the decline in schools to parental neglect and lack of teacher-parent collaboration.

Retired Rev. Charles Bitaine, a parent, praised the revival of Rwabihurwa Primary School and stressed the importance of parents taking responsibility for their children’s education rather than solely relying on the government.

Glorious Natamba Turigye, the headmistress of Rwabihurwa Primary School, emphasized the importance of cooperation, adherence to school requirements, and the need for parents to demand results.
