Mr. Ronald Twesigye, the Rukungiri District Inspector of Schools and Head of Guidance and Counseling, has urged parents and primary school administrators to prioritize nursery education as the foundation for producing quality and capable learners in primary schools.
He delivered this message today, Tuesday, 26th November 2024, while presiding over the graduation ceremony at Bugangari Primary School in Bugangari Parish, Bugangari Sub-County, Rukungiri District.
Ronald emphasized that modern developments have significantly impacted the world, underscoring the need to prioritize nursery education to ensure quality enrollment, support school activities, and nurture children for a brighter future.
Venerable Elias Mbangi, the Archdeacon of Bugangari, praised God for the school’s progress and called on parents to embrace teamwork and focus on the school’s growth. He described the school as a treasured model for the community.
Retired Health Inspector Twine Freeman, the Chairperson of the Nursery Section at Bugangari, expressed gratitude to parents and the Makenzie Foundation, the school’s sponsors. He assured the continued growth of the nursery section, attributing it to quality teachers, excellent results, and support from the church, which mobilizes funds to enhance children’s welfare.
Mr. Ben Kafurera, the head teacher of Bugangari Primary School, emphasized the importance of nursery education and expressed optimism that the quality learners promoted through the nursery section would excel in the primary leaving examinations.
During the event, 40 graduands received their certificates of promotion to Primary One.
