Police in Kabale have registered a hit-and-run fatal road accident involving motor vehicle registration number UAN 393Z Mitsubishi Fuso driven by an unknown driver and a male adult pedestrian One Kanyarutokye Johnson 51 years a Mukiga by tribe, a peasant farmer a resident of Kayorero village, Kaharo sub county Kabale district who died on spot.
This happened on Tuesday 22 August 2023 at about 09:00 pm at Kyobugombe Trading Center along Kabale Mbarara highway in Kabale district.
The scene was visited by Coporal Kambale and his team, the body was taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem after which was handed over to the relatives for burial.
Motor vehicle UAN 393Z was recovered and parked at Kabale Central Police Station yard pending IOV inspection.
Inquiries to establish the likely cause are at hand.
