Police in Kabale is holding 49 year old Nkuruziza Etienne alias Kazungu a resident of Kigongi “B” cell Central division Kabale municipality for allegedly defiling a 14 year old girl and impregnating her.
The suspect who is a neighbor to the girl’s residence, allegedly defiled her between the month of August and September 2022 in the evening hours when she would visit his place of residence to watch films.
The pregnancy was detected at Bugongi preparatory primary school in Sheema town council, where she had reported for her P7 first term.
The school authorities on detecting the pregnancy, communicated to the parents of the victim who brought her back to Kabale where a case of defilement was reported.
Inquiries are ongoing, upon completion, will be arraigned before courts of law.
