Omukiyenje Boda Boda Association members in Bugangari Parish, Bugangari Sub-county, have been called upon to embrace cooperation, hard work, and a God-fearing attitude to achieve success in life.
This message was delivered today by Bitenihirwe Nezifolo, the leader of Kakirago Catholic Church, during a fundraising event and birthday celebration for the association held at Kagirago Village, Bugangari Parish. In his speech, Bitenihirwe urged the members to dedicate themselves to God, abandon worldly vices, and leave judgment to God. He emphasized the importance of attending church every Sunday for blessings and spiritual growth.
Brian Agaba, Chairperson of the Omukiyenje Boda Boda Association, expressed his gratitude to the residents who attended the ceremony. He mentioned that the association, established on November 19, 2023, with 53 members, aims to promote integrity, cooperation, and security among boda boda riders. He explained that the event was organized to report on the achievements of the previous financial year and to raise funds for essential items, including a motorcycle worth six million shillings, a football jersey costing 30,000 shillings, 100 plastic chairs at a total of two and a half million shillings, and a four million shilling Association tent.
Ndabwine Gabriel, the LC1 Chairperson of Kakirago, highlighted his strong collaboration with the association and emphasized its importance to the development of Kakirago. He called on all residents, including boda boda members, to work together to generate wealth and promote growth and development in Bugangari.
The guest of honor, Eng. Twinamasiko Emanuel, the Assistant Pillar Two Manager of Infrastructure and Economic Services, encouraged association members and residents to take advantage of government initiatives to drive development. He urged the members to apply for funds under the Parish Development Model (PDM) to invest in their projects and boost economic growth. Emmanuel also encouraged collaboration with the government and active participation in its programs.
