Residents of Nyarwanya in Rubaare Sub-county, Ntungamo District, have continued to express frustration over poor social services in their area.

They lament that essential services such as health, education, roads, and water are either nonexistent or inadequate, with those available being in a critical state. They cited schools as an example of institutions in dire need of attention.

Apollo Rugarukye, the LC1 chairperson of Kyamuhamya Cell in Nyarwanya Parish, stated that government schools in the area are in poor condition and require serious renovation. He also emphasized the need for more teachers to be deployed to improve the education standards.

Rugarukye further noted that residents rely heavily on a few private hospitals for healthcare services and called on the government to support these facilities to enhance service delivery.

Similarly, Daniel Kamutsigazi Byentaro, the LC2 chairperson of Nyarwanya Parish, highlighted the severe lack of essential services in the area. He pointed out that schools are in poor condition, and teachers are not fully committed to their work, leading to declining academic performance.

Kamutsigazi also decried the state of the roads, stating that they are in very poor condition. Regarding healthcare, he noted that the area has only one hospital, which is far from most residents and does not meet the required standards.

Speaking on the matter, Coleb Tindimwebwa, the LC3 chairperson of Rubaare Sub-county, acknowledged the poor state of services but assured residents that local leaders are actively engaging relevant authorities to address these challenges and improve social services in the area.
