Nyakishenyi S/C LC3 Chairperson, Wednesday Twinomujuni, on Friday appointed members to work on two sensitive committees during the sub-county council meeting.
During the Nyakishenyi Sub-county council meeting held today at the official headquarters, Mr. Twinomujuni Wednesday appointed ten members to serve on the two sensitive committees in the sub-county, whereby all the submitted names were approved by the council.
The vacancies and names submitted were as follows: the Sub-county Area Land Committee will now be chaired by Asiimwe Lovence, who has replaced Mr. Mugisha Wallen. Meanwhile, other members on the committee include Pastor Twinomujuni Elias, Natukunda Annet Nyabutono, Twikirize Lawrence Mukara, and Tugume Geoffrey.
In the second committee, the LC3/Sub-county Court will now be chaired by Mugisha Wallen, who has replaced Mr. Tweteise Spencer, whereas other members appointed to the same committee include Mr. Byaruhanga John Bosco, Mr. Owunyesiga Apollo, Mr. Byaruhanga Deusdedeti, and Mr. Kakuhikire Africano Garasi.
However, the two people who have been selected to represent the Nyakishenyi Sub-county local government as members of the boards of governors for the two secondary schools, such as Nyakishenyi H/S, include Twinomujuni Wednesday, who has been voted for, and St. Mathias Vocational SS Nyakishenyi, where Mr. Byamugisha Victor has been appointed.
However, these newly appointed members will be sworn in during the next sub-county council meeting, which is scheduled to sit on 15th May 2026.
