THE Ntungamo District LC5 Vice Chairman Asuman Kigongo has Commended the proprietors of Mother care primary school -Ntungamo for putting up an institution that has helped to educate the pupils of the nation as well as giving people jobs whereby the school now employs 32 teachers and 24 non teaching staffs.
VCM. Kigongo was speaking during the school’s 7th graduation ceremony for top class where he was the guest of honor.
He noted that John Tumuhimbise the school’s Executive Director and his wife Pro-Scovia who is the Co-director incharge of finance and their son Philip Ankwasa the associate Director are playing a big role of promoting education in Ntungamo district and promised that as government they’re ready to cooperate with them since the pupils they teach are not private!
He also thanked the Director Tumuhimbise for giving the Headmaster Pendence Deus Bukenya the full authority of controlling the school which is not common in other private institutions.
The Headmaster Deus Pendence Bukenya disclosed that a total of 63 Pupils have graduated including the 17 students who scored aggregate 7 in 7 subjects.
The Headmaster also noted that the school started in 1993 and since then had been performing well with it’s candidates excelling in 1st and 2nd divisions only,(to-date)!
Ntungamo S/C. LC5 Councillor Naboth Mpirirwe who spoke on behalf of Parents hailed teachers especially those of Nursery section for the tremendous work they’re doing to train those kids from baby to middle and to top class who are now set to join primary one next year 2023.
The Councillor asked fellow parents, guardians and school well wishers to always thank the teachers because of the good work they’re doing for our children and for the nation, in this he thanked them with some khaki envelopes!
The function was attended by Ntungamo District Council Speaker Nicholas Twikirize, LC5 Councilor for Rweikiniro, Area Central division Chairman Mugisha-Kanyate, School PTA Chairman Patrick Katabarwa, the SMC (School Management Committee) Vice Chairman Uncle- Gariyo, among others.
