President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has promoted Zadock Kamusiime, the Deputy Resident District Commissioner (DRDC) of Rukiga District, to the position of Resident District Commissioner (RDC). Kamusiime will be taking over from Fred Nayebare Kyamuzigita, who has been transferred to Sheema District as the new RDC.
In a recent announcement, President Museveni also made several other changes among the Resident District Commissioners. Eric Ssewandigi has been promoted to the position of RDC for Rubanda District. Sheikh Kassim Kamugisha, formerly the Deputy Resident City Commissioner of Nakawa, has been assigned as the Deputy RDC for Rubanda District. Ronald Andrew Bakak, the Deputy RDC of Kabale, has been reassigned to Soroti as Deputy Resident District Commissioner. Additionally, Muramira Benard Kyakashaari Micheal has been transferred from Hoima to Rukungiri as Deputy RDC, replacing Ahimbisibwe Wilberforce Ongom, who has been moved to Kihiihi-Rukungiri in the same role.
Other Resident District Commissioners in the Kigezi Sub-region will continue in their current positions.
