The Common Man’s Party candidate, Hon. Mubarak Munyagwa, has pledged to dismiss all foreigners engaged in non-professional work in Uganda within 48 hours of taking office.
Speaking during his campaign rally in Rukungiri District on November 2, 2025, held at Kikira House and the Bus Park, Munyagwa urged residents to vote him into power, promising to free opposition leader Dr. Kizza Besigye from jail and restore equal opportunities for all Ugandans.
The outspoken politician outlined key priorities for his government, including fair distribution of the national cake, increased salaries for civil servants, agricultural transformation, and improved market networks. He emphasized that jobs meant for Ugandans should not be taken up by foreigners.
Several residents of Rukungiri, including Dickson Nuwamumpa, Mubaraka Byamukama, and Denis Natukunda, expressed strong support for Munyagwa’s presidential bid, praising his commitment to fighting for Dr. Besigye’s release and promoting freedom for all Ugandans.
