The Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament, Honorable Catheline Atwakiire Ndamira, urged residents in Kabale to prioritize love over hostility during her address at the sendoff of the late Joseline Rubazongoza, a cherished member of the Kabale community.
The burial service, overseen by Reverend Dickson Mushabe of Bwama Church of Uganda parish, underscored the pressing need for unity and compassion.
Acknowledging the concerning trend of residents aligning with different political factions and resorting to animosity as elections approach, Honorable Atwakiire stressed that genuine support and affection cannot flourish amidst division and enmity. She urged residents to embrace every moment as an opportunity to foster love and understanding among themselves.
Mourners were encouraged to reject divisive politics and instead prioritize cooperation, unwavering faith, and a commitment to love as the guiding principle towards unity, even in challenging times.
Joseline Rubazongoza, who passed away at the age of 96 due to health issues, leaves behind a legacy of love and familial bonds. She is survived by eight children and thirty-eight grandchildren, with her final resting place being her ancestral home in Kabumba village, Kitumba Sub County, Kabale District.
