The Minister of ICT and National Guidance, Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Kinkizi East, has called on members of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) to work collaboratively on developmental projects to enhance the prosperity of their families and communities.
Dr. Baryomunsi made these remarks on Saturday at Kanungu Main Stadium during the official launch of the Nyekundire NRM group in Kanungu Town Council, Kanungu District. He highlighted that Nyekundire is a group dedicated to advocating for the NRM government, led by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and advancing the development of families and the country.
The minister emphasized that Nyekundire aims to foster unity, love, and friendship while promoting the principles and achievements of the NRM in Kanungu District. He stressed that the group’s initiatives are designed to unite members from Kinkizi East and Kinkizi West, reinforcing a sense of community within the district.
Dr. Baryomunsi also outlined various contributions he has made to the district, including constructing roads and churches, providing computers to schools, and supporting local businesses such as salons.
In his address, Kanungu Deputy RDC Gad Rugaju encouraged residents to embrace government programs like the Parish Development Model and Emyooga, aimed at boosting family development and economic growth.
