The Church leaders of Rutooma Church of Uganda in Cathedral Archdeaconry, Kinkizi Diocese, Kanungu district, expressed their gratitude towards Minister Chris Baryomunsi for fulfilling the promises he made during the 2021 general elections campaign.

This acknowledgment took place today at the church premises in Bujerengye cell/Parish, where Minister Baryomunsi delivered roofing materials, including 400 iron sheets, for the construction of the church.

Representing the Christians, Niwagaba Francis, the head of church Wardens, recounted Minister Baryomunsi’s visit to the under-construction church during his campaign in 2021. At that time, the Minister pledged his support, promising to assist once elected as the area MP—a commitment he honored today.

In his remarks, Minister Baryomunsi praised the Christians for their unwavering support and encouraged them to remain dedicated to the development of their community.

He criticized the local government leaders of Kanungu district for neglecting certain projects, suggesting that their actions aimed to discredit Members of Parliament. He emphasized the distinct responsibilities of both district leaders and MPs, urging the community to demand accountability from their district leaders regarding the projects accomplished during their five-year term.
