Police in Bukomansimbi are holding a 36-year-old man for defiling and impregnating his 16-year-old disabled daughter.
The police identified the suspect as Joseph Katongole, a resident of Gongwe village, Kigangazi town council in Bukomansimbi district. Katongole was arrested along with his wife Beatrice Nakintu, 30 for not reporting the matter.
According to the victim, her father started defiling her at the age of 14 until last year when he got her pregnant and chased her away from home.
The victim has a disability in both her hands.
The Bukomansimbi deputy RDC tasked the victim’s father to explain why he defiled his daughter but Katongole tried to deny until he said he slept with her once 12 months ago.
Mr Kalema condemned the actions of the fathers who destroy the lives of their daughters.
The Southern police spokesperson Twaha Kasirye said that the man and his wife will be charged accordingly.
The duo is at Bukomansimbi police station as investigations are ongoing.
