The Rukungiri Resident District Commissioner Steven Nsubuga Bewayo has asked Local Council Leaders to Local Council 2 offices in their areas for better service delivery.
This was part of his remarks made on Tuesday at the official opening of Nyabiteete Local Council 2 at the new Buyanja Sub County headquarters still under construction.
Bewayo noted that the Parish Development Model requires strategic offices for it to work well and therefore called on Local Leaders to engage their locals and initiate offices.
The Buyanja LC3 Chairperson Agaba Emmy Rubondo hailed Denis Kifaku who provided his house to be used as the office for free and called on others to continue supporting the construction of the Sub-county headquarters to be completed as soon as possible.
The Buyanja Sub County Councilor representing Nyabiteete parish Karahukayo Charles expressed gratitude saying that the presence of the office will cause the development of their parish and ease the construction of the new headquarters.
At the same function, Steven Nsubuga Bewayo delivered 700,000 shillings for the purchase of the remaining 10 iron sheets towards the completion of the roofing of the new headquarters donated by the District Councilor representing Nyarushanje Sub-county Mathias Rwabugumi.
