During the graduation ceremony at Better Home Academy Nursery and Primary School Kitagata in Marembo ward, Kitagata Town Council, Sheema District, the Chairperson LC3 Kitagata Town Council, Atwiine David, urged parents to remain vigilant and safeguard their children during the upcoming holidays.
In his remarks, he highlighted the potential risks children face, emphasizing the need for preventive measures against temptations and immoral activities that could jeopardize their future.
The ceremony, which took place on November 26, 2023, celebrated the graduation of 44 toddlers who received certificates of promotion to Primary One for the next academic year. The event was overseen by Rev Turyagumanawe Elicanah, the Chaplain of Bweranyangi Junior Primary School.
Atwiine David underscored the importance of parental vigilance during the holiday season to protect children from potential harm. Meanwhile, Nashaba Alex, the School Director, commended parents for their trust and support, citing the enrollment of 394 learners within just two years. However, he expressed concern about the impact of high government revenue fares on development efforts led by non-profit organizations.
Nashaba Alex urged parents to continue supporting the school, emphasizing its non-profit nature and the commitment of the teachers to provide affordable and quality education in the region. Kagenyi Karimu Apuri, the School Headteacher, echoed this sentiment, encouraging parents to stand behind Better Home Academy Kitagata and emphasizing the school’s strong vision for delivering standard education in the area.
