Residents of Kisoro municipality have raised widespread complaints about the condition of the roads, which are riddled with potholes and become extremely difficult to navigate during the rainy season. Particularly affected are Kivengyere Road, Chuho Road, Garage Street, Mutanda Road, and the stretch from Mugatimba Market to Central Pharmacy.

Boda-Boda riders report numerous accidents each month due to these hazardous potholes, caused by the erosion from rainwater.

Responding to these concerns, Ayubu Kisubi, the Kisoro Municipality Town Clerk, acknowledged the seriousness of the situation. He mentioned that the municipality has been temporarily patching the roads with a mixture of murram and debris to address the issue.

However, Kisubi also provided a glimmer of hope, mentioning plans for Kisoro to benefit from the Uganda Cities and Municipalities Infrastructure Development (USMID) program. This program aims to improve infrastructure in urban centers, including the tarmacking of roads in the central business district.
