Police in Kazo are investigating circumstances under which the lay reader at Nkungu Church Of Uganda was shot dead by a security guard .
ASP Samson Kasasira the Rwizi police mouthpiece confirmed the matter and identified the deceased as Patrick Mutatina a lay leader at Nkungu Church Of Uganda and a resident of Kiringa Village , Kiringa parish ,Burunga sub county,Kazo district.
Kasasira asserts that yesterday (Saturday) at around 20:05 hours Mutatina aged years was shot at by Anxious Muhumuza a private security guard attached to RPS security Company who was guarding Kitura Cooperative Sacco.
He adds that Mutatina was rushed to a nearby clinic with a bullet wound where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Kasasira further reveals that police has apprehended the security guard and recovered the murder weapon an SAR rifle and the suspect kick into jail at Kazo Central Police station.
