Police in Kanungu are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 33 years old Gloria Kyarikunda a resident of Mukayembe village Kambuga parish Kihihi sub-county Kanungu district.
According to the Kigezi region police spokesperson, it’s alleged that on Sunday 13th August 2023 at about 02:00 pm, the deceased left her home and moved to Kambuga-Kayembe trading center where she drank a glass of waragi, and immediately became unconscious and started vomiting.
She was rushed to her home and incidentally died.
Upon receiving the information, a team of police officers visited the scene and documented, samples of the vomit picked and packed for compulsions and the body was taken to Kihihi health center 1V mortuary for postmortem and inquiries continue.
