Police in Ntungamo are investigating A fatal accident that claimed the life of Asiimwe Vicent a resident of Kiyoora Kabale municipality who hails from Rushorooza in Kihiihi Subcounty Kanungu district
The accident that occurred in Rubaare Town council along the Ntungamo Kabale highway involved a bus belonging to Jaguar bus company and 8 other vehicles
According to ASP Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region police spokesman, the driver of the bus registration number UBF 669G which was coming from Kabale heading to Ntungamo driver lost control of the bus and entered the lane of oncoming vehicles
He crashed head-on with vehicle registration UAH 215S which was from Ntungamo heading to Kabale killing the driver Asiimwe Vicent instantly.
The said bus proceeded and knocked the metallic doors and windows displayed along the road, then landed at Doctor’s referral hospital yard in Rubaale Town where it crashed and damaged several cars and also damaged the hospital building.
The Scene was visited by Ntungamo District traffic officer and a team of traffic officers from Rubaare Police station
Two injured passengers were taken to Dr’s referral hospital and they are said to be out of danger.
The Body was conveyed to Doctor’s referral hospital Rubaare for postmortem
