The Lecturer at Kampala University, Ms. Gloria Natukwatsa, has condemned the growing tendency of taking little babies to school early when they are still asleep.

She made the appeal on 21st November 2025, during her remarks while officiating at the 2nd Graduation Ceremony of 85 Top Class Learners at Kebisoni Parents Nursery and Primary School at Omuritaano, Kebisoni Town Council, Rukungiri District.

Gloria expressed concern over parents taking little babies to school early when they are still asleep, acknowledging the vulnerability of their delicate brains, which require special care, proper nutrition, and hygiene for healthy growth.

Anthony Amperize Rutarengizibwa, the Rukungiri District Inspector of Schools overseeing Kebisoni Subcounty, urged parents to involve children in household activities to train and manage them during the long holiday and to spend responsibly to save for the next term.

James Turyamubona, the School Director, commended parents for their loyalty to the school, which has boosted enrollment. He assured them of continued efforts to establish a quality nursery section that produces only first graders at the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).

Benon Baryamushangayo, another Director, appealed to parents to support graduation ceremonies as a way of inspiring students and strengthening their commitment to achieving their dreams.

Richard Turyatemba, the Chairperson of the Parents-Teacher Association (PTA), expressed satisfaction with Kebisoni Parents Nursery and Primary School for producing former students with integrity.

Parents, including Ronald Tumwesigye and Penina Muzoora, expressed appreciation for the school’s remarkable care and teaching.
