KABALE– Authorities at Kabale Municipal council through the Department of Education have rewarded 2022 Primary Leaving Examination stars with mattresses, with a call on them to be good ambassadors.
Presiding over the function, the Kabale Municipality Mayor, Emmanuel Sentaro Byamugisha revealed that Kabale Municipality council resolved to start awarding the best stars in PLE annually as a way of motivating and inspiring learners to love education.
Byamugisha asked beneficiaries not to relax, but rather keep on focused, put in more effort to maintain the pace, and keep the discipline to succeed in the secondary level.
He also charged parents to counsel and advise children against bad peer groups that are on the verge of seducing children into immoral acts, especially homosexuality and lesbianism among others that may endanger the future of children as they report back to school for a second term next week.
The Kabale Municipality Town Clerk, Justine Barekye advised students to concentrate on their books and be disciplined if they are to be successful in future.
The Kabale Municipality Principal Education Officer, Grace Munyambabazi asked parents to continue supporting their children’s education by giving them scholastic materials saying this will create a better future for them.
