Hundreds of youth from various parts of the district have started gathering at Nyakibale Catholic Parish, Kabale Diocese, for the annual Denary Youth Conference celebrations.
Nyakibale Catholic Parish, which falls under Nyakibale Denary in Kabale Diocese, is hosting its annual Denary Youth Conference from September 4th to September 7th, 2025, at the parish grounds in Southern Division, Rukungiri Municipality. The youth have been called to seek the protection and mercies of God by casting all their burdens on the Holy Cross.
This call was made by the District Youth Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Cleophas Mugabe, who said the conference is organized to give participants an opportunity to share their weaknesses and strengths and to jointly and individually speak to Christ, who is always ready to receive them as they are.
He added that the youth encounter many trials, traps, and temptations, and emphasized that it is only Christ who can fight for them if they welcome Him into their lives.
Rev. Fr. Cleophas encouraged the youth to entrust and dedicate their lives to Jesus Christ, who is the source of renewed life and salvation, urging them to fully utilize the conference for their inner healing.
Mucunguzi James, the Chairperson of Nyakibale Denary, thanked God for the gift of life and urged the youth to love and work hard for their faith by living as true Catholics and followers of Christ. He called upon more youth to attend the conference in large numbers.
The conference is taking place from today, September 4th, to September 7th, 2025, under the theme derived from Romans 5:5:
“And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
