Hon. Naboth Namanya, the Member of Parliament for Rubabo County, has called upon members of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) who are transitioning to the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) to focus on revitalizing party structures.
He made the appeal on Friday, January 31, 2025, while officiating a party retreat organized by supporters of Kyatoko Ward in Nyakashaka Village, Kyatoko Ward, Eastern Division, Rukungiri Municipality.
The extraordinary retreat attracted leaders at various levels, including Members of Parliament, the Deputy Mayor, LC3 Chairpersons, district and municipal leaders, division and ward representatives, LC1 Chairpersons, and residents.
Hon. Naboth Namanya criticized party members for their inactivity, accusing them of betraying Dr. Kizza Besigye through silence and laxity in defending the party. He urged members to engage in strategic activism to reinvigorate the party.
Hon. Betty Bamukwatsa Muzanira, the former Rukungiri District Woman Member of Parliament and a prospective candidate for the same seat encouraged members to remain steadfast in their commitment and resist the temptation of financial inducements that compromise their loyalty.

Denis Ngabirano, the LC3 Chairperson for Southern Division and a prospective candidate for Rukungiri Municipality mayorship, urged members to support accessible and cooperative leaders who prioritize the people’s interests.
Christopher Bamanyisa Kashaija, the Municipal Councilor representing Kyatoko, expressed gratitude for the successful retreat, noting that it dispelled allegations of the party’s decline.
