The government has recognized the late Silver Ndazororera, honored during the burial ceremony at St. James Catholic Church Rutooma in Kambuga, Kanungu district, as a steadfast supporter of the NRM.

This recognition was articulated by the Minister of ICT and National Guidance, Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, who also serves as the Kinkizi East MP.

Baryomunsi outlined three key principles attributed to Ndazororera that align with those of the government: his commitment to family, his devoutness to God, and his unwavering allegiance to the NRM.

Highlighting Ndazororera’s emphasis on education, Baryomunsi acknowledged his efforts in ensuring his children received quality education. Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, the Deputy Speaker of Parliament and chief mourner praised Ndazororera as a diligent individual who comprehended the significance of wealth creation for societal improvement.

In her farewell address, Ndazororera’s eldest daughter, Dr. Sylvia Arinaitwe, portrayed her father as a figure of authority whose principles inspired his children to value education set high aspirations, and remain resolute in their pursuits.

Mzee Sylvester, originally from Kabura, Muyumbu Kyanamira sub-county in Kabale district but later residing in Kanungu district, lived to the age of 91. Initially working in the medical field, he later pursued law and served as a court clerk until retirement.

Mzee Sylvester succumbed to lung cancer on March 26, 2024. Other notable figures present at the funeral included Inspector General of Government Betty Kamya, Members of Parliament from Western Uganda, LC 5 Chairpersons, and the business community.

He is survived by his wife and five children, consisting of two sons and three daughters.

In acknowledgment of his exceptional contributions, the Bishop of Kabale Diocese laid a foundation stone at the science block of St. Charles Lwanga Secondary School Rutooma in Kambuga, Kanungu district.
