The Rubanda County West NRM flag bearer, Hon. Bruce Baraba Kabaasa, has today launched a campaign aimed at providing meals to Primary Seven candidates in Universal Primary Education (UPE) schools during their two days of Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).

While addressing UPE headteachers and journalists at Muko Gardens in Rubanda District, Hon. Kabaasa announced his commitment to donate food to all P.7 UPE candidates across Rubanda County West, saying the initiative targets the most financially struggling schools.

He revealed that the meals to be donated will include beans, rice, posho, eggplants, groundnuts, sodas, and traditional porridge, ensuring that candidates are well-fed and energized during their exams.

Hon. Kabaasa emphasized that his contribution is not a one-time effort but part of his broader vision to support education and rural development in Rubanda County West. He pledged to continue the program in the coming academic years if elected as Member of Parliament.

“I will ensure that all meal bills are paid through the respective school bank accounts to maintain transparency and accountability,” Hon. Kabaasa assured.

He further called on school headteachers to support his vision in the forthcoming general elections and become ambassadors of educational excellence and community development.

The initiative has been warmly received by parents and residents of Rubanda County West, who expressed appreciation for Hon. Kabaasa’s practical approach to supporting education. Many described the program as a sign of hope and development, vowing to use their democratic power to elect leaders who represent the interests of the people.
