Health experts have advised residents in the Kigezi sub-region to avoid chewing bubble gum, warning that it can lead to ulcers.
Dr. Nicholas Akankwasa, CEO of Diva Secret International Company in Uganda and Africa, explained that extended periods of chewing bubble gum increase the risk of ulcers due to the irritation caused by the gum’s texture and chemicals.
Dr. Akankwasa shared this information yesterday during the launch of Diva Secret International Company and the introduction of their product, Diva Stem Cell, in the Kigezi sub-region. The event took place at Agaba Center Hall in Kigongi, Central Division, Kabale Municipality, with the goal of raising awareness about good oral health and healthy eating habits.
He stressed that maintaining a consistent eating schedule can help regulate digestion and reduce the risk of ulcers. Dr. Akankwasa noted that chewing bubble gum for long periods, especially without proper meals, can lead to ulcers due to prolonged periods without eating.
Additionally, he emphasized the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle choices to prevent common health issues like ulcers. He urged the public to take care of their bodies to ensure a long and healthy life.
