The Rubabo county member of parliament Naboth Namanya has expressed disappointment with the government and the armed forces over the handling of the bush war heroes whom he said were dying miserable deaths and being buried miserably too.

Speaking at the sidelines of the burial of the late Ahmed Kashilingi RO 00040 who died on Wednesday at Rubaga hospital Namanya said the late Kashilingi died a miserable death despite his contribution to the country and the army.

Kashilingi joined the armed forces in 1964 serving all the governments that have led country. He joined the war against Obote in 1981 under the Uganda freedom Movement headed by Kayiira Rutakome that later merged with Museveni’s PRA to form the NRA now UPDF.

He is survived by over 100 children, many grandchildren and several wives. At the time of his death he was serving in the ministry of security as a liaison officer in charge veterans’ affairs.

He was laid to rest at his ancestral home Nyamigongo village, northern ward Kabisoni town council on Friday afternoon in a humble Muslim ceremony burial that was concluded with a 21 gun salute.

End.
