The thanksgiving Mass was led by Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira, Bishop of Kabale Diocese.

During the ceremony, Hon. Ndamira also made a political announcement, revealing her decision to contest as an independent candidate in the forthcoming elections. She cited irregularities in the recently concluded polls as the reason, saying her decision would stand regardless of the outcome of the NRM tribunal expected next week.
