Police in Rukungiri are hunting for unknown assailants who allegedly stabbed to death one Brian Ankwasize, a 25 year old boda boda rider , and resident of Kebisoni town council in Rukungiri district,
According to Elly Maate the Kigezi region Police spokesman the incident happened on 06/10/2022, when the deceased left Dons bar located in Kebisoni town,
He reportedly told the friends that he was drinking with that he was going home.
Maate explains that Ankwasize returned to the bar after a short while as he was making an alarm that he has been stabbed and that his assailants were still following him.
Upon his return to the bar , the assailants took off and the victim was rushed to a nearby clinic where he died shortly.
Maate says police at Kebisoni was notified, the scene was visited and documented and body was conveyed to Rwakabengo health centre for postmortem.
Four people have arrested to help in investigations.
