Police in Sheema district are investigating circumstances under which a former primary school teacher was murdered for unknown reasons.
The deceased is Atwiine Alexander 46 a former primary school teacher, and a resident of Kyagaju Central Cell, Kyagaju Ward, Kabwohe Division, Sheema municipality, Sheema district.
It’s alleged that on Friday 15th September 2023 at around 10:00 am Ssenyondo was going to make bricks as usual and he discovered the dead body of a man lying in his brickyard and reported the matter to police.
Marcial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson said the scene of the crime was visited by a team of dectives and that the body was in a brick laying yard in a prone position near a brick pond.
Tumusiime said the body was fresh and it had several minor fresh bruises on it. It was further established that the deceased had an on-and-off mental sickness.
The body was conveyed to Kabwohe Health Center 1V pending post-mortem as inquiries continue.
