Hundreds of mourners on Wednesday thronged Kanyinya in Southern Division Rukungiri Municipality for the send-off of Willy Barikurungi.
Willy, while he lived, was a loving, hardworking FDC diehard, a politician who was always against corruption and all sorts of injustices, according to Ngabirano Denis, Chairman of Southern Division and the brother of the deceased.
Rev. Fr. Charles Byarugaba, in his sermon, urged mourners to be conscious of their actions while they live because their good or bad deeds follow them when they die.
Barikurungi Willy succumbed to pancreatic cancer (adenocarcinoma) and lung cancer (bronchiogenic carcinoma) last Monday morning at Mulago Hospital. Willy died at the age of 56 and is survived by 11 children and two wives.
