Reverend Father Mugabe Cleophas, the chaplain for the Youth of Rukungiri District Catholics and Nyakibale Parish, has urged the youth to invest their time, strength, and energy in activities that will positively shape their future.
This challenge was issued during his address at the preparatory meeting for the Nyakibale Parish Annual Youth Conference, held today, Monday, 6th January 2025, at Nyakibale Parish Hall in the Southern Division of Rukungiri Municipality.
Father Cleophas advised the youth attending the conference to fully embrace the program and derive meaningful benefits rather than causing confusion or attracting problems.
He noted that when the youth come together at such conferences, they exchange ideas, learn from others, and build relationships, fostering a sense of belonging and community engagement.
Father Cleophas emphasized that each individual is born with a “key” that plays a crucial role in determining their future, warning that misusing this “key” could lead to a future filled with darkness.
Ndiyo Flexis, the Youth Chairperson of Nyakibale Parish, expressed readiness to organize an orderly conference that has the potential to positively impact lives. He also extended an invitation to youth across the region to come and participate.
The conference is scheduled to take place from the 9th to the 12th of this month, with the theme derived from Exodus 23:29–30: “Little by Little, We Grow with God.”
