Authorities in Sheema are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 37-year-old man who was struck and killed in a tragic road accident.
The incident, which occurred late last night, involved a Bajaj Boxer motorcycle with registration number UFB 090E, ridden by an unidentified individual, colliding with a pedestrian, resulting in the pedestrian’s fatality.
Marcial Tumusiime, the spokesperson for Greater Bushenyi police, confirmed the occurrence and identified the deceased as John Muhairwe, aged 37 and a resident of Masyoro village in Kyangenyi, Sheema District.
Tumusiime stated that the accident took place on a feeder road at approximately 9:00 PM. The motorcycle involved was found abandoned at the scene and later retrieved and stored at Kakindo Police Station.
The body of the deceased was transported to Kabwohe Health Center IV mortuary for postmortem examination.
