Police in Mitooma District are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an individual in a road accident. Marcial Tumusiime, the spokesperson for Greater Bushenyi police, has identified the deceased as Muhwereza Gideon.
The incident took place at Bitereko along the Ishaka-Bitereko-Kiyanga junction. The accident involved a red Bajaj Boxer motorcycle with registration number UFH 865 V and another motorcycle that has yet to be identified.
Muhwereza Gideon, a 25-year-old resident of Nyakagongo village in Rwaburinga parish, Rwaburinga sub-county, Mitooma District, was riding the motorcycle at the time of the accident. Unfortunately, he lost his life in the incident.
Tumusiime mentioned that as a result of the accident, Tumuramye Girivansio is currently hospitalized at Ishaka Adventist Hospital in Bushenyi. The police are actively searching for the rider who fled the scene of the accident
