In Kisoro, a solitary fatal accident involving a red Bajaj Boxer motorcycle with registration number UES196V was recorded. The rider, identified as Ntirenganya George, 32 years old and from Gahembe village in Nyakinama sub-county, Kisoro district, tragically lost his life at the scene.
The incident occurred at Natete trading center along the Kisoro-Bunagana road around 04:00hrs on 17/01/2024.
According to reports, the motorcycle was en route from Kisoro town to Bunagana when it collided with a heap of maram (a type of soil or gravel) that had been spilled on the roadside. The impact caused the rider to fall, resulting in immediate fatality.
PC Mugisha and the investigative team visited the scene, documenting the details.
The body of the deceased was transported to Kisoro hospital for a postmortem examination, while the motorcycle was taken to Kisoro CPS for an Inspection of Vehicles (IOV) assessment.
The investigation is ongoing.
