The police in Ibanda district are currently investigating a murder case involving Kabagambe Deus Dedita, a 73-year-old male Munyankole peasant residing in Kaaburo II Cell, Rugaaga Parish, Keihangaara subcounty. Mr. Kabagambe was reportedly hacked to death by unidentified individuals.
It is reported that the victim left his residence around 3:00 PM on March 16, 2024, only to be discovered deceased along a village footpath not far from his home. Upon examination of the crime scene, authorities found the deceased with a severe head wound, suggesting that he may have been attacked with a blunt object.
The police have registered a murder case and thoroughly investigated the scene, documenting all pertinent evidence. The body has been transported to Ruhoko Health Center IV for a postmortem examination.
Currently, inquiries are ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for this heinous crime.
