In a poignant Sunday service dedicated to bidding farewell to Rev. Can. Eric Baingana at Emmanuel Cathedral Kinyasano in North Kigezi Diocese, Christians expressed their gratitude for his exemplary leadership skills.

They applauded him for effective financial and resource management, successful completion of the Diocesan quota, and fostering improved relationships between the Church and affiliated institutions during his tenure as Dean.

During the same service, Rt. Rev. Onesimus Asiimwe the bishop of NKD, in his sermon, officially launched the Church of Uganda theme for the year 2024, drawing inspiration from Romans 12:2: “Do not be conformed to the patterns of this world…”

Dr. James Musinguzi-Garuga, accompanied by his wife, Dr. Peace, who visited the diocese by coincidence, pledged a substantial contribution of 50 million Ugandan shillings towards the completion of Emmanuel Cathedral Kinyasano.

In his remarks, Dr. Musinguzi-Garuga commended Bishop Asiimwe for revitalizing Makobore High School and Kinyasaano Girls High School.

He emphasized the need to revive Kigezi’s former prominence in academics, expressing hope for a renewed commitment to excellence.
